RICHARD DALE WORTHAN 1945 – 2019 Richard Dale Worthan age 74 of Murray, NE passed away at his residence. After a lengthy illness, he took his walk with Jesus on Tuesday, September 24, 2019. Richard was born in Nebraska City, NE to Raymond Bert and Donna Lorraine (Ross) Worthan on January 7, 1945. He and his family lived in the Murray area all of his life. He graduated from Nehawka High School and served in the United States Air Force. He married Helen Ann Renken July 30, 1967. They had three children. He worked at Nehawka Coop and Masters Implement until he started farming with his Dad in 1970. He farmed until 1996 then his illness forced him to take his disability. He is preceded in death by his parents: Bert and Donna Worthan and his brother: Allen Worthan. Richard is survived by his wife: Helen Worthan of Murray, NE; two daughters: Michelle (Kelly) Heim of Bellevue, NE; Janelle (Steve) Allmond of Fort Pierre, SD; son: Joe (Jill) Worthan of Murray, NE; five grandchildren: Sabrina (Joe) Brouseau, Chelsea (Heath) Davenport, Nicole Janing, Sydney Worthan, and Jackson Worthan; four great-grandsons: Kaidyn Brouseau, Alaryk Brouseau, Kaithan Woodruff, and Mason Davenport; two great-granddaughters: Kailani Brouseau and Savannah Davenport; brother-in-law: Rich (Beth) Renken of Fairborn, OH; sister-in-law: Linda (Del) Gust of Nebraska City, NE; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and two special hospice caregivers: Jill and Terrie. A Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 9:00 P.M., with family greeting friends and relatives from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, September 27, 2019 at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Plattsmouth, NE. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Plattsmouth with Pastor Jim Spanjers and Rev. Heidi McGinness officiating, Linda and Del Gust as vocalists, and Connie Halouska as organist. The Pallbearers will be Eric Renken, Brian Secord, Lance Ross, Jerry Janing, John Casey, and Frank Jenson. His Final Resting Place will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Nehawka, NE. In lieu of flowers, Memorials to the Family (A suitable charity will be chosen at a later date).
