BETTY LU WILLETT 1920 – 2013 Elizabeth Lucille "Betty Lu" (Naden) Willett Age 93 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the Nebraska Masonic Home in Plattsmouth, NE. She was born on April 24, 1920 to Alfred Henry and Marjorie E. (Jones) Naden in Des Moines, IA. Betty was raised and schooled in Des Moines, IA. She graduated Lincoln High School in Lincoln, NE. Betty attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln for 2 years and then the University of Nebraska at Omaha for 1 year. She met and later married Leland B. Willett on April 6, 1957 in Lincoln, NE. Betty was employed by the State of Nebraska, Secretary of States' Office for 8 years as an administrative assistant. Then she worked for the Lincoln Public Schools for 18 years in Media Services until she retired in 1988. Betty and Leland made their home in Lincoln, where they raised their son Alfred. In August of 2008, she and Leland moved to the Nebraska Masonic Home in Plattsmouth, NE. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Lincoln, NE, Towne Club, Life Member PTA, Life Member N.A.E.O.P., Member of Gideons Auxiliary, and the Air Force Sargent's Association Auxiliary. Betty is survived by her Husband: Leland B. Willett of Plattsmouth, NE, Son: Alfred E. Willett and wife Lori of Cedar Rapids, IA, Grandson: Clayton Willett of Cedar Rapids, IA, Granddaughter: Amy Willett of Cedar Rapids, IA, and numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends. She was preceded in death by her Parents: Alfred and Marjorie Naden, Infant Granddaughter: Andrea Willett, and Sister: Marilynn Dahl. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the Nebraska Masonic Home in Plattsmouth, NE with Rev. Steve Wisthoff officiating, Amy Willett as vocalist, and Carol Wehrbein as pianist. Visitations will be from 9-10 A.M., Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the Nebraska Masonic Home in Plattsmouth. Interment is at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Lincoln, NE. The Family suggests Memorials to Second Baptist Church, 525 N. 58th St., Lincoln, NE 68505-2304 and/or Nebraska Masonic Home 1300 Ave. D Plattsmouth, NE 68048.
