Carl "Dave" David Grizzle

CARL DAVID GRIZZLE August 20, 1953 – September 15, 2017 Carl David Grizzle age 64 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on September 15, 2017 at his residence. David was born on August 20, 1953 to Leonard Earl and Doris Marie (Duvall) Grizzle in Ashland, KY. He was raised and schooled in Ashland and Flatwood, KY. Dave graduated from Russell High School in Russell, KY with the class of 1971. After graduating from high school, Dave attended Ashland Community College for a year and a half. Then he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served his country during the Vietnam War, serving for seven years from 1973 until 1981. Dave was discharged from the Air Force at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, NE. He met Diane Marie Nash and they were later married on August 20, 1981 in Plattsmouth. Dave and Diane made their home and raised their children at Beaver Lake in Plattsmouth. Dave worked as a data processor at the Sitel Corporation in Omaha for nineteen years and then at the Glenwood State School for four years, until he retired. He was a member of First Christian Church in Plattsmouth. David is survived up his wife: Diane Grizzle of Plattsmouth, NE; two daughters: Jamie Grizzle of Plattsmouth, NE; Keri Evans and husband Tristan of Plattsmouth, NE; three grandsons: Jeremiah Grizzle, Joseph Kerns, and Zander Brasuhn; two brothers: Joe Grizzle and wife Mitz of Ashville, NC; Thomas Grizzle and wife Natalie of Richmond, KY; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Leonard and Doris Grizzle, his son: Nicholas Grizzle, and brother in law: Michael Nash. Visitations will be Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 1:00 to 9:00 P.M., with family greeting relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, September 21, 2017, at First Christian Church in Plattsmouth with Pastor Michael Lincoln officiating. His Final Resting Place will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth with Military Rites conducted by the Offutt Air Force Base Military Rites Team of Bellevue, NE. Memorials to the Family a suitable charity will be chosen at a later date. Dave requested casual attire, please wear your jeans.
