CHRISTOPHER DAVID DRAPER 1965 – 2020 Christopher “Chris” David Draper, age 54 of Omaha, NE peacefully passed away on Monday, April 6, 2020 at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha. He was born on December 10, 1965 to James “J.C.” Clyde Draper and Victoria (Herbst) Draper in Omaha, NE. Chris was raised and schooled in Plattsmouth and he graduated from Plattsmouth High School with the class of 1984. Chris attended South East Community College in Milford, NE, earning his Associate’s Degree. He met Christine “Chris” Marie Mertl and they were later married on December 30, 1999 in Omaha, NE. Chris was an avid Cubs fan, traveling to Chicago on several different occasions to watch his Cubbies. Chris is survived by his wife: Chris Draper of Omaha, NE; four daughters: Jessica Mejia and husband Carlos of Ralston ,NE; Sarah Lorello of Papillion, NE; Jenny Escobar and husband Moises of Omaha, NE; and Lisa Ransier and husband Chris of Hampton, VA; two sons: Jacee Draper of Ralston, NE; and Dylan Draper of Ralston, NE; Ten grandchildren: Mariah, Malayna, Maranda, Chloe, Chase, Cole, Amelia, Maddie, Sadie, and Easton; step-mother: Kathy Draper of Plattsmouth, NE; seven brothers: Scott Draper and wife Kelli of Omaha, NE; Rod Draper and wife Geri of Plattsmouth, NE; Richard Draper of Shelby, IA; Scott R. Draper and wife Danielle of Dickinson, ND; Craig Draper and wife Kristina of Lincoln, NE; Sean Draper and Shea of San Antonio, TX; Nick Draper of Omaha, NE; two sisters: Sonya Jewell of Waterloo, NE; Stacey Webb and husband Dan of Fort Dodge, IA; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father: J.C. Draper, mother: Victoria Draper, and two nephews: Austin Calkins and Koby Draper. Visitations will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, April 10, 2020 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth, NE. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
