Cynthia "Cindy" Louise Sitzman

CYNTHIA LOUISE SITZMAN 1958 - 2016 Cynthia "Cindy" Louise (Cuykendall) Sitzman age 57 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away peacefully on Friday, February 19, 2016 at Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, NE. Cindy was born on December 18, 1958 to Henry Earl and Janet Louise (Lager) Cuykendall in Montgomery, AL. Cindy was raised and schooled in several different locations, while her father served our country in the U.S. Air Force. In 1970, Cindy and her family settled in Plattsmouth, NE were she attended Plattsmouth High School. She met Bradford "Brad" Dean Sitzman and they were later married on April 29, 1978 at First United Methodist Church in Plattsmouth. Cindy and Brad made their home and raised their children in Plattsmouth. She had worked at many places in Plattsmouth; Gambles, Dr. David Hibbler DDS office, Felthousen Drug, John's Appliance, Barb's Flowers and Gifts, and as the lunch lady at the Plattsmouth High School. She was a volunteer E.M.T. for the Plattsmouth Rescue Squad for eleven years. Cindy is survived by her husband of thirty seven years: Brad Sitzman of Plattsmouth, NE; daughter: Darci Betzen and husband Eric of David City, NE; son: Steven Sitzman and fiancée Emilie Gladback of Bellevue, NE; four grandchildren: Cassidy, Alec, Lee and Jake; four brothers: Donald "Donnie" Cuykendall and wife Jamie of Batesville, MS; Michael "Mike" Cuykendall and wife Shelia of Clarksville, VA; James "Jimmy" Cuykendall and wife Jen of Plattsmouth, NE; Thomas "Tommy" Cuykendall and wife Jennie of Watonga, OK; two sisters: Barbara "Bobi" Jordon and husband Kim of Plattsmouth, NE; Lori McVay of Cook, NE; sister-in-law: Rae Ellen Cuykendall of Bruce, WI, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Janet Cuykendall and her brother: Henry "Punick" Cuykendall. Visitations will be held from 1:00 to 9:00 P.M., with family greeting relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, February 25, 2016, at First Baptist Church in Plattsmouth with Pastor Michael McGregor officiating. Memorials to the Family (A suitable charity will be chosen at a later date).
