David Francis Feder, Sr.

DAVID FRANCIS FEDER Sr. 1941 – 2014 David Francis Feder Sr. age 72 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014 at the Bellevue Medical Center Bellevue, NE. David was born on August 29, 1941 to Charles Francis and Mary Dorothy (Novak) Feder in Omaha, NE. He was raised and schooled in Omaha and graduated from South High School with the class of 1959. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the US Navy serving his country on the USS Hornet for two years. After serving in the Navy, he returned to Omaha and worked at the Stockyards and Western Electric. He attended night school at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and graduated with an Associates of Fire Science Degree. Then David worked as a Fire Apparatus Engineer for the Omaha Fire Department for thirty years, until he retired in 1999. He met Linda Rae Kindelin and they were later married on July 7, 1979 in Plattsmouth, NE. After marrying Linda he moved to Plattsmouth in 1979. After retiring from the Omaha Fire Department, he worked for Wiles Brothers for ten years and then at B & T Murdochs for four years. David was a member of Hosanna Lutheran Church, Lepert Wolever V.F.W. Post #2543, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #365 all of Plattsmouth, Firefighters Helmet Club of Omaha, and the Tuesday Art Club. He is survived by his wife: Linda Feder of Plattsmouth, NE, daughter: Kathleen Gould and Dan Betten of Omaha, NE, four sons: Kelly Kindelin of Plattsmouth, NE, David Feder Jr. and wife Mary of Omaha, NE, Chris Kindelin and wife Tina of Plattsmouth, NE, Jim Feder and Jackie O'Connell of Omaha, NE, eleven grandchildren: Jeffery Gould, Krystal Esteban and husband Armando, Samantha Feder, Kayla Robison and husband Justin, Kaitlyn Feder, Lucas Gould, Shelby Kindelin, Jessica Feder, My-Kel Kindelin, Alexis Kindelin, Evan Kindelin, three great grandchildren: Mylus Robison, Fernando Esteban, Luhin Esteban, sister: Kathleen Diggins of Plattsmouth, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mary Feder, granddaughter: Mariah Gould, three brothers: Donald Feder, Gene Feder, Charles Feder, and sister: Mary Lou Dean. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Plattsmouth, NE with Pastor Jim Spanjers officiating and Connie Halouska as organist. Visitations will be held from 1-9 P.M. with family greeting relatives and friends from 6-8 P.M., Friday, June 6, 2014 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth, NE. The Honorary Pallbearers will be Kelly Kindelin, David Feder Jr., Chris Kindelin, and Jim Feder. Final Resting Place will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth, NE. The family suggests memorials to Hosanna Lutheran Church, Salvation Army, and/or Plattsmouth Volunteer Fire Department.
