DORTHA SUE ZIEMAN 1934 – 2021 Dortha Sue (Shown) Zieman, age 86 of Plattsmouth, NE peacefully passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021 at The Nebraska Masonic Home in Plattsmouth. Sue was born on October 12, 1934 to Cecil Thomas and Zella Ruth (Robinson) Shown in Center Town, KY. She was raised and schooled in Henderson, KY. Sue met Ralph William Zieman and they were later married on August 18, 1951 in Henderson, KY. She was a stay-at-home mom to her children in Hopkinsville, KY, Germany, and Juno, FL. Sue also worked for the Agricultural Dept. surveying crops in Hopkinsville, KY. She and Ralph also owned a RV park in Brownsville, TX in 1964. In 1972, Sue and Ralph moved to Juno, FL, where she was an interior seamstress for the drapery and blinds business, upholstery business, and seamstress for bedding (for yachts) businesses that she and Ralph owned. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hopkinsville and Hopkinsville Homemakers in Hopkinsville, KY. After moving to Florida, she and Ralph were active members of Lake Park Baptist Church in Lake Park, FL. Sue is survived by her son: David Ralph Zieman of Hopkinsville, KY; daughter: Belinda Sue (Zieman) Boyles of Cadiz, KY; four grandchildren: Stephanie Sterling of Juno, FL; Julie (Zieman) Davis of Hopkinsville, KY; Steven Sterling and wife Lisa of Bellefontaine, OH; and Stuart Zieman and wife Alicia of Hopkinsville, KY; 10 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; siblings: Joe Shown; Mirvadene “Tommie” (Shown) Warwick, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.. She was preceded in death by her parents: Cecil and Zella Shown, husband: Ralph Zieman, daughter: Elsa Luanne Zieman, and siblings: Reyburn Shown, Randall Shown, Thomas Shown, Anna Rhea Shown, and Jim Shown. A memorial service will be held at a later date with the immediate family and her final resting place will be in Hopkinsville, KY. Memorials to the Family (A suitable charity will be chosen at a later date).
