DOUGLAS EUGENE RODABAUGH 1943 - 2015 Douglas Eugene Rodabaugh age 71 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2015 at the Bellevue Medical Center in Bellevue, NE. Doug was born on May 28, 1943 to Edward Abraham and Florence Zetta (Haste) Rodabaugh in Osceola, MO. He was raised on a farm near Appleton City, MO and graduated from Appleton City High School with the class of 1961. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the US Air Force and served his country for twenty four years. While serving in the Air Force, he was stationed at Randolph A.F.B. in San Antonio, TX, Amarillo A.F.B. in Amarillo, TX, Webb A.F.B. in Big Springs, TX, Kadena A.F.B. in Okinawa, Biggs A.F.B. in El Paso, TX, Holloman A.F.B. in Alamogordo, NM, Takhlie A.F.B. Thailand, Edwards A.F.B. in Edwards, CA, Camp New Amsterdam / Soesterburg A.F.B. in Netherlands, Blytheville A.F.B. in Blytheville, AR, and Offutt A.F.B. in Bellevue, NE. He met Mable Kay Evans and they later married on January 19, 1963 at Web A.F.B. in Big Springs, TX Chapel in Big Springs, TX. After retiring from the Air Force, Doug worked for the Civil Service at Offutt A.F.B. in Bellevue and at Langley A.F.B. in Hampton, VA. He made his home in Plattsmouth for thirty three years. Doug retired in 1997. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Plattsmouth. Doug is survived by his wife: Mable Rodabaugh of Plattsmouth, NE, three sons: Edward Rodabaugh and wife Terri of Omaha, NE, Eric and Jackie Holman of Plattsmouth, NE, Frank E. Holman and wife Carolyn of Bellevue, NE, two daughters: Zetta "Susie" Ohler and husband Archie of Keiser, AR, Crystal Holman of Plattsmouth, NE, nineteen grandchildren: Joshua Ashby, Natalie Ashby, Archie Ohler, Natasha Layton, Zachary Rodabaugh, Morgan Rodabaugh, Taylor Jones, Cody Jones, Kallie Jones, Chayne Holman, Corissa Holman, Jocelyn Holman, Gabriel Holman, Branden Holman, Ashtyn Star Holman, Kristyn Jo Holman, Justin Holman, Jase Stanton, Jaden Holman, four great grandchildren: Chloe Ashby, Lacey Ashby, Sophie Ashby, Ricky Housley, three brothers: Lynn Rodabaugh of Lowry City, MO, Thomas Rodabaugh and wife Jo Susan of Osceola, MO, Dennis Rodabaugh of Lowry City, MO, sister: Loraine Habrath of California, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Florence Rodabaugh, brother: Ralph Rodabaugh and wife Essie, two sisters in law: Kay Rodabaugh, Karen Rodabaugh, nephew: Curtis Rodabaugh, father and mother in law: Newt and Ardell Evans, two brothers in law: Larry Evans and wife Noma, Wendell Womack, sister in law: Billie Jo Holman, and two nephews in law: Willie Womack, Wayne Womack. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, March 20, 2015 at First Christian Church in Plattsmouth with Pastor Michael Lincoln officiating. Visitations will be held from 1:00 to 9:00 P.M., with family greeting relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth. Honorary Pallbearers will be Edward Rodabaugh, Eric Holman, Frank Holman, Archie Ohler, Zachary Rodabaugh, Josh Ashby, Johnny Womack, G.W. Horn, Michael Horn, and Archie Elijah Ohler. Military Rites will be conducted by Offutt Air Force Base Military Rites Team of Bellevue, NE. Final Resting Place will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth, NE. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Labre Indian School, 1000 Tongue River Rd., Ashland, MT 59003.
