ELIZABETH MARIE ROBERTS 1924 – 2025 Elizabeth Marie (Cuzzetto) Roberts, age 101 of Plattsmouth, NE peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, April 11, 2025 at her home. Elizabeth was born on January 7, 1924, to John Robert Cuzzetto and Katherine Marie (Mousseau) Cuzzetto in Wallace, ID. She was raised and schooled in Wallace and graduated from Wallace High School with the class of 1942. After graduating from high school, she worked at J.J. Newberry’s five & dime as a cashier and a sales clerk. She married and worked and lived in Spokane, WA. Then she worked for the Civil Service as an administrative assistant at Edwards Air Force Base in Edwards, CA, Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, NE, Kitsap - Bremerton Naval Base in Silverdale, WA, and then back to Offutt. Elizabeth made her home in Plattsmouth. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth. Elizabeth is survived by her grandson: Tony Nowicki and his wife Patti of Union, NE; four granddaughters: Debbie Cox and her partner Pat Hellbusch of Plattsmouth, NE, Anita Heberlein and her partner Ray Sanchez of Omaha, NE, Cindy Schenkelberg and her husband Steve of Omaha, NE, and Judi Satterfield and her husband D.J. of Papillion, NE; eleven great grandchildren: Nicole Cox, Joshua Cox, Makenzi Cox, Brooke Decicio, Anthony Nowicki, Caitlyn Nowicki, Jacob Gunia, Brittney Nowicki, Tonya Satterfield, Chad Satterfield, and Shaun Satterfield; fourteen great great grandchildren: Hunter Scherlie, Knox Scherlie, Berkley Scherlie, Nesiah Decicio, Austin Friend and his wife Nicole, Sophia Nowicki, Evelyn Nowicki, Ayden Nowicki, Norah Clemons, Jase Kiel, Silas Kiel, Paisleigh Hodge, Asher Satterfield, and Ava Satterfield; two great great great grandchildren: Elliot Friend and Elias Friend; her Friday friends: Ron and Mary Reinke; 5 P.M. dinner date friend: Pat Hellbusch; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents: John and Katherine Cuzzetto, two brothers: Edward Cuzzetto and Donald Cuzzetto, and her daughter and son-in-law: Mary Anne Nowicki and Ron Nowicki. There will be a Rosary at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 followed by a Funeral Mass at Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth with Father Sean Timmerman officiating, Terry Little as vocalist, and Laurie Hajek-Jones organist. The Pallbearers will be Ray Sanchez, Joshua Cox, Pat Hellbusch, Austin Friend, Anthony Nowicki, and Tony Nowicki. The Honorary Pallbearers will be Cody Volwiler, Jacob Gunia, Hunter Scherlie, Knox Scherlie, and Ayden Nowicki. Her Final Resting Place will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Plattsmouth.
