FILOMENA JANICE TOMAN 1944 – 2025 Filomena “Mena” Janice (Rondinelli) Toman, age 80 of Plattsmouth, NE peacefully passed away twenty-five minutes after her beloved husband Bill passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Hillcrest Shadow Lake in Papillion, NE. Mena was born on February 26, 1944, to James Vencenzo Rondinelli (of Alvito, Italy) and Rose Mary (Eramo) Rondinelli (of Lancaster, OH) in Chicago, IL. She was raised and schooled in Columbus, OH and graduated from Bishop Watterson High School with the class of 1961. After graduating from high school, she worked for a podiatrist. She met the love of her life, William “Bill” Arthur Toman, and they married on February 23, 1963 at St. Ladislas Catholic Church in Columbus, OH. Mena and Bill made their home and raised their daughters in Plattsmouth. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit, P.C.C.W., Catholic Daughters, and various clubs with her dear friends. An angel on earth, Mena was a friend to all. She brightened everyone’s life with her smile, warmth, faith, generosity, and laughter. Mena is survived by her four daughters: Regina “Gina” Toman of Nebraska City, NE, Rebecca “Becky” Dulek and her husband Mark of Omaha, NE, Recinda "Cindy" Toman-Valeri and her husband Adriano of both Plattsmouth, NE and Canada, and Rechelle “Shelly” Pelzer and her husband Mark of La Vista, NE; two sisters: Jacqueline Rita (Rondinelli) Howard of Columbus, OH and Regina Ann (Rondinelli) Bonahoom of Carefree, AZ; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents: James Vencenzo and Rose Rondinelli, paternal grandparents: Filomena Fazzio and Joseph Fazzio, maternal grandparents: Giacomina and Nicholas Eramo of Italy, her husband: Bill Toman, and two brothers-in-law: Curt Howard and Mike Bonahoom. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M., on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Sean Timmerman officiating, Nadine Carlson as lector, Nick Halmes and Jeff Cheric as acolytes, Terry Little as vocalist, and Laurie Hajek-Jones organist. The Pallbearers will be Corey Solotorovsky, James Toman, Jeff Toman, Paul Hula, Andrew Wassinger, and Jamel Jones. The Honorary Pallbearers will be John Toman, Jerry Toman, Jim Howe, Greg Hula, Gary Waddell, Harold Waddell, and Gene Sand. Her Final Resting Place will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Plattsmouth.
