Francis Hugh Redden

FRANCIS HUGH REDDEN 1943 – 2025 Francis Hugh Redden, age 82 of Omaha, NE peacefully passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. He was born on April 6, 1943 to John Henry Redden and Iva Nettie (Brooks) Redden in Omaha. He was raised and schooled in Murray, NE. Francis met the love of his life Michelle “Micki” Rae Sutton and they later married on May 25, 1961 in Papillion, NE. Francis and Micki made their home in Plattsmouth, NE for a time and then they later moved to Omaha. Francis worked construction for Laborers Local #1140 in Omaha until 1980 when he opened his own automotive shop “Redden’s Repair”. Then in 1991 Francis bought the 33rd Street Saloon in Omaha which he owned and operated for five years when he sold the bar and retired. Francis is survived by his wife: Michelle “Micki” Redden of Omaha, NE; his daughter: Tracy Carmichael and her husband Scott of Carlsbad, CA; his son: Michael “Mike” Redden and his wife Sheila of Omaha, NE; five grandchildren: Christopher Straley and his wife Laura, Kirstin Hodges and her husband Colin, Justin Rozmus and his wife Christina, Adam Rozmus and his wife Sara, and Christopher Rozmus and his wife Laura; fifteen great grandchildren: Jude Straley, Margot Straley, Beatrice Straley, Corbin Hodges, Beau Hodges, Alex Rozmus, Madelynn Rozmus, Kaitlyn Rozmus, Jonathan Rozmus, Cecilia Rozmus, Anthony Rozmus, Lucus Rozmus, Lillian Rozmus, Ally Rozmus, and Nate Rozmus; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents: John and Iva Redden, five sisters: Linda Cunningham, Ruth Kinney, Joann Hill, Shirley Fox, and Barbara Redden, and his five brothers: Louis Redden, LeRoy Redden, John Redden Jr., Russell Redden, and Charles Redden. Visitations will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. with the family greeting relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., on Friday, June 6, 2025 at the Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M., on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Roby Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Lee Wigert officiating. The Pallbearers will be Justin Rozmus, Adam Rozmus, Christopher Rozmus, Tyler Shumaker, Dylan Shumaker, Noah Shumaker. His Final Resting Place will be at Lewiston Cemetery in Murray, NE.
