HAZEL LUCILLE WALKER 1924 – 2019 Hazel Lucille (Gibson) Walker age 94 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019 at her residence. She was born on December 23, 1924 to Claude McFadden and Vera Margaret (Leckenby) Gibson in Nebraska City, NE. Hazel was raised, schooled, and worked in Nebraska City. Hazel met Ulysses “Zeke” Grant Walker and they were later married on September 30, 1952 in Bentonville, AR. Hazel and Zeke made their home and raised their children in Nebraska City and in Omaha, NE. They lived in Omaha for 25 to 30 years until 1989, when they moved to Plattsmouth. She was a loving wife, mom, grandma, and a homemaker. Hazel is survived by two sons: Stan Gibson and wife Decie of Plattsmouth, NE; Terry Gibson and wife Debbie of Plattsmouth, NE; four daughters: Sharon Beckwith and husband Rich of Plattsmouth, NE; Edna Logue of Omaha, NE; Helen Jones and husband Kelly of Omaha, NE; Mary Ashcraft and husband Mike of Omaha, NE; nineteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents: Claude and Vera Gibson, husband: Zeke Walker, two sons: Jerry and Mike Gibson, grandson: Stephen Rinehart; two great grandsons: Jayden Gibson and Koby Draper, great granddaughter: Brittnie Ludwig, two brothers: Claude and Jesse Gibson, and three sisters: Helen Kennedy, Arlene Valdez, and Darlene Duncan. Visitations will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with family greeting relatives and friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, February 1, 2019 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth with Pastor Michael McGregor officiating. The Pallbearers will be Brian Ashcraft, Michael Ashcraft, Terry Gibson, Vince Logue, Joe Logue, Dennis Logue, Tuffy Gibson, Paul Rinehart, Jason Rinehart, and Ernie Beckwith.
