JEFFERY RAY MARTIN 1961 - 2015 Jeffery "Jeff" Ray Martin age 53 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the Bellevue Medical Center in Bellevue, NE. Jeff was born on August 28, 1961 to Harry Gerald and Shirley Ann (Blessing) Martin in St. Joseph, MO. He was raised and schooled in St. Joseph and graduated from Central High School with the class of 1979. He met Deborah Lyn Tatro, when he was a teenager and they were later married on March 29, 1980 in St. Joseph. Jeff and Debbie made their home and raised their children in Plattsmouth, NE. Jeff had worked in Omaha, NE, Carter Lake, IA, and at Diamond Marketing Solutions as a mechanical engineer in Council Bluffs, IA. Jeff's passions in life were spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter Jody Lyn and fixing up and drag racing his 1970 AMX at the I-29 Dragway (formerly Mid America Motor Plex). He was a lifetime member of the National Hot Rod Association. Jeff is survived by his wife: Debbie Martin of Plattsmouth, NE, daughter: Mandi Martin of Plattsmouth, NE, son: Beau Martin of Amazonia, MO, granddaughter: Jody Lyn Martin of Amazonia, MO, Mother: Shirley Faulk and husband (Dad) Ray of Rushville, MO, step-mother: DJ Martin of Phoenix, AZ, four sisters: Jennifer Martin of Rushville, MO, Jessica Martin of Kansas City, MO, Ruby Puri and husband Rahul of De Kalb, MO, Betsy Couch and husband Billy of St. Joseph, MO, brother: John Martin and wife Terri of Platte City, MO, father and mother in law: Ray and Pat Tatro of St. Joseph, MO, numerous brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father: Harry Martin and many other loved ones. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 A.M., Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth with Pastor Michael McGregor officiating and John Martin as eulogist. Visitations will be held from 1:00 to 9:00 P.M., Friday, July 24, 2015 with the family greeting relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Roby Funeral Home. Final Resting Place will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth. The Pallbearers will be Jerry Tilson, Nate Tilson, Chip Bailey, Tool Time, Stormin Norm, and Scott Rudo.
