JERRY ALLEN MIKKALSON 1965 – 2020 Jerry Allen Mikkalson, age 54 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at his residence. Jerry Allan Mikkalson was born on November 15, 1965 to Vernon Odean and Caroline Helen (Trca) Mikkalson in Omaha, NE. Jerry was raised and schooled in south Omaha and attended South High School. While in high school, he began working for Dick Lett, who was a contractor, in the construction and remodeling of residential homes and commercial buildings. As a teenager with the encouragement of Dick Lett, Jerry began his lifelong trade, owning his own company in the remodel and construction business. In 1992 Jerry met Margo Gower, they hit it off immediately and became life partners, raising their sons in Plattsmouth. Jerry was a lifelong fan of Nebraska football, Aerosmith, and enjoyed caring for his dogs Scrappy, Lucky and Yoshi. He is survived by his two sisters: Patricia Bartlett and husband Ricky of Cabot, AR; Sharon Dobson of Stuart, IA; niece: Rachael Treis and husband Clay; three nephews: Nicholas Gorman and fiancé Allyson; Michael Gorman and wife Cheri; Joshua Dobson and fiancée Maggie; two sons: Clinton “Clint” Yeager and wife Sarah of Glenwood, IA; Adam Gower and girlfriend Tenia Padilla of Omaha, NE; two grandsons: Marshall and Maxx Yeager, plus a host of relatives and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents: Vernon and Caroline Mikkalson, his brother: Jeffrey Mikkalson, and his loving soul mate: Margo Gower. Visitations for Jerry will be held from 1:00 to 9:00 P.M., on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Roby Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at Roby Funeral Home, (the funeral service will be recorded and available in perpetuity on Roby Funeral Homes’ website, robyfuneralhome.com). Jerry’s family suggests casual attire, something with a Nebraska Cornhusker flair, GBR. CDC guidelines will be followed. Jerry’s Final Resting Place will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Plattsmouth.
