Joann Felker

MILDRED JOANN FELKER 1934 – 2022 Joann (Horn) Felker age 88 of Lincoln, formerly of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022 at the Journey House in Lincoln, NE. She was born on March 2, 1934 to John George Horn I and Mildred Louise (Lefter) Horn in Louisville, NE. Joann grew up on her family’s farm west of Plattsmouth. She attended Heil Country School and was valedictorian for the Plattsmouth High School Class of 1951. After high school Joann worked for Union Pacific Railroad and then she moved to California where she worked for Hughe's Aviation. In 1967 she moved back to Plattsmouth and resumed working for Union Pacific Railroad. She lived in Plattsmouth until 2015 when she moved to Lincoln. Joann is survived by her daughter: Diana Pasco and her husband Russell of Lincoln, NE; three sons: Mark Felker and his wife Becky Sowers of Lincoln, NE; James Felker of Denver, CO; John Felker of Lincoln, NE; son-in-law: Kenny Adkins of Plattsmouth, NE; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two brothers: Dennis Horn of Plattsmouth, NE; Mike Horn and his wife Pinky of Plattsmouth, NE; her sister: Billie Hauge of Waianae, HI; sister-in-law: Peggy Horn of Lincoln, NE; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Mildred Horn, her son: Philip Felker, her daughter: Leslie Adkins, her brother: John Horn II, sister-in-law: Cathy Horn, and brother-in-law: Richard Hauge. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M., on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M., on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth with Father Tony Bedient officiating. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M., on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at the Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Sean Timmerman officiating, Leo Sand and Dan Rubin as acolytes, Dennis Horn II as lector, Terry Little as vocalist, and Laurie Hajek-Jones as organist. The Pallbearers will be Luke Hitchcock, Kenny M. Adkins, Loren Pasco, Dennis Horn II, Scott Baxter, and Mark Schuette. Her Final Resting Place will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Plattsmouth. The family suggests Memorials for Masses or to the Donor’s Favorite Charity.
