LEE ROY DERBY 1931 – 2014 Lee Roy Derby age 82 of Louisville, NE passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Louisville Care Center in Louisville, NE. Lee was born on September 19, 1931 to David "Art" Arthur and Pauline Anne (Pecha) Derby in Belden, NE. He was raised and schooled in Sarpy County, NE and attended Louisville High School. He started farming with his father on the family farm and when times were tough he drove truck for rock quarries in western Cass County. He met the love of his life Bernadine Louise Graham and they were later married on July 3, 1952 at Trinity Lutheran Church of Murdock, NE. While he was farming, he also drove a school bus for Louisville Public Schools for thirty five years. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Louisville, NE and former member of Trinity Lutheran Church of rural Murdock, NE. Lee Roy is survived by his daughter: Lona Faubion and husband Jack of Louisville, NE, four sons: Duane "Butch" Derby and wife Susan of Louisville, NE, Alan Derby and wife Lisa of Louisville, NE, Ricky "Rick" Derby and wife Patti of Henderson, KY, John Derby and wife Rhonda of Louisville, NE, fifteen grandchildren, thirty one great grandchildren, sister: Isabelle Clinkenbeard of Louisville, NE and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Art and Pauline Derby, wife Bernadine Derby, and two brothers: Donald Derby and James Derby. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 21, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church of rural Murdock, NE with Pastor Brent Kuhlman officiating and Barbara Hohman as organist. Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M., with a Prayer Service at 5:00 P.M., Sunday, July 20 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Pallbearers will be Brad Derby, James Derby, Jeff Derby, Kenneth Derby, Kyle Derby, Nick Derby, Paul Derby, Preston Derby, and Joe Faubion. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jessie Derby, Jordan Derby, Melissa Doellinger, Lyndsey Estes, Sandra Gilsdorf, Jennifer Nelson, and the thirty one great grandchildren. Final Resting Place will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery of rural Murdock, NE. Memorials suggested to the family's choice.
