LOWELL THOMAS DAISLEY 1934 – 2019 Lowell Thomas Daisley age 84 of Cedar Creek, NE peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at his home. He was born on June 19, 1934 to Henry and Marcella (Conley) Daisley in Painted Post, NY. Lowell was raised and schooled in Hartford City, IN and he graduated from Hartford City High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country for two years during the Korean Conflict from 1954 until 1956. He then attended and graduated from Ball State with a degree in business. Then he worked for the Mead Packaging Company. Lowell moved to Omaha, NE in late 1960’s and he started the Daisley Packaging Corporation which he owned and operated until the early 1990’s when he sold his business to the Larson Packaging Corporation. Later, the Larson Packaging Corporation sold to Unisource in 1998 which Lowell then retired from in 1999. He met Mary Teater and they were later married on June 18, 1987 in Kansas City, MO. Lowell and Mary moved to Cedar Creek in 1989. He was a member of Church of the Holy Spirit and the Knights of Columbus Father Shine Council #1966 both of Plattsmouth. Lowell held various positions with economic development in southeastern Nebraska and he served an eight year term as the mayor of Cedar Creek. He is survived by his wife: Mary Daisley of Cedar Creek, NE; six children: Michelle Moffitt and husband Stephen of Omaha, NE; daughter: Laura Daisley of Omaha, NE; Mark Daisley and wife Kris of Omaha, NE; Aaron Jackson and wife Wendy of Bellevue, WA; Jennifer Jackson-Lee and husband Victor of Bellevue, WA; Jessica Kubick and husband Tom of Lawrence, KS; eleven grandchildren: Nolan (Kim) Moffitt, Ashley (William) Robb, Emmett Moffitt, Zoe Moffitt, Delaney Moffitt, Emily Jackson, Elliot Jackson, Jacob Lee, Zachary Lee, Evelyn Lee, and Samantha Kubick; three great grandchildren: Olivia Moffitt, Aaron Kangleon, and Calvin Kangleon; sister: Jacqueline Whitmore of Moses Lake, WA; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Marcella Daisley and two sisters: Delight and Sondra. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth. Visitation resumes at 6:00 P.M. with family present at Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth with a Rosary Service at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 13, 2019. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Michael Houlihan officiating, Dean Zitek and Dan Rubin as acolytes, Terry Little as vocalist, and Laurie Hajek-Jones as organist. The Pallbearers will be Steve Moffitt, Mark Daisley, Aaron Jackson, Victor Lee, Tom Kubick, Nolan Moffitt, William Robb, and Emmett Moffitt. Military Rites will be conducted by the Nebraska Army National Guard, Military Funeral Honor Guard. His final resting place will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Plattsmouth.
