Mr Loyd Lee Bogle

Loyd Lee Bogle was born on September 7, 1934, in Weston, Missouri, to Julius Clyde and Ila Pearl (Price) Bogle and departed this life on July 30, 2022, having attained the age of 87 years, 9 months and 7 days. Loyd was raised and schooled in Auburn, NE, graduating from Auburn High School in 1953. Two years prior to enlisting in the US Army he had worked for the Auburn Newspaper. While in the Army, he reached the rank of Sargent, serving 30 months in Germany with the 656th Engineer Battalion Topo, obtaining an Honorable Discharge from the Army. Returning home, he worked a short time for the Auburn Newspaper as a printer then went to work for Commercial Printing Companies in Omaha. In 1962 Loyd made a trip to western Nebraska where he met Caro Lee Critser, they were later married on August 4, 1963, at the Methodist Church in Oxford, NE., to this union 1 son, James J. Bogle was born. He and his family moved to Foley, Alabama in 1981 and lived there 8 years before moving back to Millard, NE. He then worked for the Plattsmouth Journal as Commercial Print Manager until his retirement in September of 1999. Loyd moved back to Auburn in 2003, after the death of his wife Caro Lee. He worked part time for the Nemaha County FSA office for 2 years, and then The Nemaha Valley Museum for 4 years. Loyd was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Ila Bogle, wife Caro Lee, brothers Wilbur, Harley and Robert, sister Idaline Wrightsman, brothers in law, Alan Wrightsman, Billy Critser, Loren Stricklet, sisters in law, Shirley Bogle, Dorothy Bogle, and nephews, Michael Ray Bogle, Mark Sharp and Lee Bogle. Loyd is survived by his son, James J. Bogle of Elkhorn, NE, grandson James M. Bogle of Elkhorn, NE, great grandson, Jaxon R. Bogle, brother, Dean Bogle and wife Sharon of Humboldt, NE, sisters, Donna Stricklet of Missouri, Ilaline Critser and husband Justin of Auburn. NE, plus a host of relatives and friends. Visitation for Loyd will be held on Wednesday August 3, 2022, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with family present 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Roby Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday August 4, 2022, at Roby Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Nate Powell officiating. Burial will take place at 1:00 pm, at Sheridan West Memorial Cemetery in Auburn, NE.
