MARIE ANASTASIA "STACEY" CASE May 8, 1930 – December 6, 2017 Marie Anastasia "Stacey" (Ernst) Case age 87 of Plattsmouth, NE peacefully passed on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. She was born on May 8, 1930 to Peter and Gertrude (Lordemann) Ernst in Columbus, NE. She was raised and schooled in Columbus and she graduated from St. Bonaventure Catholic High School. She attended and graduated from St. Catherine's School of Nursing in Omaha, NE. Stacey met Richard Patrick Case and they were later married on May 7, 1955 at St. Bonaventure Church in Columbus. Stacey and Richard made their home and raised their children in Plattsmouth. She had worked the majority of her career as a geriatrics nurse at the Plattsmouth Manor. Stacey was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit, P.C.C.W. (Parish Council of Catholic Women), Catholic Daughters of the Americas Our Lady of Loretto Court 709, and Legion of Mary all of Plattsmouth, NE. She is survived by her son: Steve Case and wife Janet of Omaha, NE; three daughters: Kathleen Finzel and husband Rodney of Fort Salonga, NY; Sharon Knoblauch and husband Ken of Omaha, NE; Marcia Esola and husband Jim of Omaha, NE; twelve grandchildren: Aaron Case, Jason Case, Matthew Case, Regina Case, Brandon Finzel and wife Kelly, Kara Jaremko and husband Matt, Jordan Finzel, Kenneth Knoblauch, Sophie Knoblauch, Jimmy Esola, Luke Esola, and Andrew Esola; one great grandson: Aidan Finzel; sister: Louise Nyffeler and husband Roy of Columbus, NE; sister in law: Luella Ernst of Wahoo, NE; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Peter and Gertrude Ernst, infant son: Joseph Michael Case, husband: Richard Patrick Case, and her brother: William Ernst. Visitations will be held from 1:30 to 4:30 P.M., Friday, December 8, 2017 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth. A Rosary will be held at 5:30 P.M., Friday, December 8, 2017 at Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth with Father Michael Houlihan officiating, Steve Case, Sharon Knoblauch, and Sophie Knoblauch as lectors, Tony Salazar and Richard Wassinger as acolytes, Terry Little and Pat Carroll as vocalists, and Laurie Hajek-Jones as organist. The Gift Bearers will be Kathleen Finzel and Kara Jaremko. The Pallbearers will be Aaron Case, Jason Case, Matthew Case, Brandon Finzel, Jordan Finzel, Kenneth Knoblauch, Jimmy Esola, Luke Esola, and Andrew Esola. Final Resting Place will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Plattsmouth.
