MARION ELECTA BRANDT 1935 - 2014 Marion Electa (Pratt) Brandt age 79 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at her residence. Marion was born on September 19, 1935 to LeRoy Washington and Margaret (Waters) Pratt in Grays Lake, IL. She moved with her family at a young age to White Lake, WI, where she was raised and schooled. Marion stayed at home and raised her younger siblings after her mother passed away. She met Lowell Edward Brandt and they were later married on September 8, 1954 in Antigo, WI. While Lowell was serving in the US Air Force, they lived in many different locations until Lowell was stationed at Offutt Air Force in Bellevue, NE. After Lowell retired, they built their home in Plattsmouth, NE on the corner of Highway 75 and Young Road. Marion and Lowell lived in their home from 1981 until 2010. Then Marion moved in with Lynnette in Plattsmouth, after Lowell passed away. Marion is survived by her two daughters: Lynnette Adkins and husband James of Plattsmouth, NE, Margaret "Missy" Hardesty and husband Gene of Plattsmouth, NE, two sons: Cary "Butch" Brandt and wife Susan of Sioux Falls, SD, Mark Brandt and wife Anni of Omaha, NE, nine grandchildren: Brad Adkins and wife Mandi, Beth Adkins and husband Luke, Brett Adkins and wife Kinlea, Andrea Hardesty, Taylor Hardesty, Jessica Tiger and husband Jon, William Brandt, Torrey Brandt, Keira Brandt, nineteen great grandchildren: Hunter Adkins, Josh Adkins, Caleb Adkins, Chloe Adkins, Colt Adkins, Kade Adkins, Devon Thomsen, Journey Thomsen, Luke Setlak, Julia Prince, Alex Prince, Owen Prince, Adrian Ayala, Cailynn Ayala, Ciera Ayala, Alona Brandt, Alexis Brandt, Cheyanne Tiger, Gabriel Brandt, sister: Myrle Madole of Libertyville, IL, two brothers: Norman "Dale" Pratt and wife Sharon of Waukegan, IL, Mike Pratt and wife Ruth of Deerbrook, WI, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: LeRoy and Margaret Pratt, husband Lowell Brandt, sister: Margaret Geiske, and four brothers: Merritt Pratt, Marvin Pratt, Jim Pratt, and Patrick Pratt. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth with James Bassett officiating. Visitations will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M., with family greeting relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth. The family suggests memorials to Lydia House in Omaha, NE.
