MARJORIE JEAN SCARPELLO 1936 – 2014 Marjorie Jean "Margie" (Kennell) Scarpello, Age 77 of Delaware, OH passed away Sunday evening January 26, 2014 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware, OH. She was born April 23, 1936 to Howard Leroy Kennell and Deloris Clara (Eaton) Kennell in Plattsmouth, NE. She worked as a child care provider and was a homemaker. She loved Halloween and dressing in costumes with her partner Phil. Margie moved to Ohio in 1994 and later to Delaware, OH where she has been a resident for the past 19 years. She enjoyed music and in her day was a gifted dancer, especially the jitter bug. As one who loved to kid and joke, she earned the nick name of "Crazy Margie". At times feisty, she was blessed with an immense circle of lifelong friends. Entertaining and having parties were always special times to look forward to with family and friends. Margie was a tremendous cook, her clam dip, spaghetti, and meat balls will long be remembered. She loved all of her grandchildren very much and was so very proud of them. Margie was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Delaware Eagles #376, and the AmVets Post #104 all of Delaware, OH. Left to cherish her memory are three daughters: Holly Horn of Portland, OR, Renee Rupp and husband Dave of Delaware, OH, Kathy Mapes and husband Dr. Kenneth of Genoa, OH; six grandchildren: Christian, Samantha, Sadie, Garrett, Marissa, and Nick, love of her life: (for the past 17 years) Phil Morris of Delaware, OH, her loving dog: Muggsie, life-long friend: Cass Collins of Renton, WA, dear cousin: Shirley Durr of Lincoln, NE, and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Howard and Deloris Kennell, husband: Frank Edward Scarpello (1/9/1969), infant son: Nick Horn, and brother: Clifford L. "Cooney" Kennell. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth, NE with Pastor Michael Lincoln officiating. Visitations will be from 1-9 PM with family greeting relatives and friends from 6-8 PM, Monday, February 3, 2014 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth. Pallbearers will be Neil Barr, Douglas Heim, and Dr. Kenneth Mapes. Interment is at East Union Cemetery in Union, Nebraska. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
