MICHEAL ALLEN BRUNS 1947 – 2021 Michael “Mike” Allen Bruns age 74 of Omaha, NE passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021 Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha. Mike was born on October 7, 1947 to Harvey Fred and Wanda Dell (Propp) Bruns in Omaha, NE. He was raised and schooled in Plattsmouth and Mike graduated from Plattsmouth High School with the class of 1964. After high school he worked at Lyman-Richey in Omaha. Mike met the love of his life Judy Ann Schuster in 1968 and they later married on August 16, 1969 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Plattsmouth. Mike and Judy made their home and raised their children in Plattsmouth. Mike worked as a drywaller for fifty years. In 1997 Mike and Judy moved to Omaha. He was member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #365 and Lepert Wolever V.F.W. Post #2543 both of Plattsmouth. Mike is survived by his wife: Judy Bruns of Omaha, NE; daughter: Cathy Harrington of Louisville, NE; two sons: Lenny Bruns of Omaha, NE; Eric Bruns and wife Alla of Salt Lake City, UT; five grandchildren: Cassidy Bruns, Samantha Bruns, Kendra Westerman, Matthew Bruns, and Cydney Vincent-Bruns; four sisters: Rebecca Stafford and husband Larry of Tecumseh, NE Christine Troia of Plattsmouth, NE; Virginia Manley and husband Richard Jr. of Plattsmouth, NE; Joanne Scott and husband Randall of Bellevue, NE; brother-in-law: James Schuster and wife Ruth of Omaha, NE; sister-in-law: Lucy Harris of Omaha, NE; special friends: Rory Frochlich and wife Angie of Omaha, NE; The Mexican Buddies of Omaha, NE; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Harvey and Wanda Bruns, infant sister: Barbara Bruns, two grandchildren: Kathryn "Katie" Mass and Tony Holman, his son: Jason Bruns, and two brothers-in-law: Anthony Troia and William “Red” Harris. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth with Pastor Michael McGregor officiating. His Final Resting Place will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth. In lieu of flowers, Memorials to Lepert Wolever V.F.W. Post #2543 in Plattsmouth.
