Paul Allen Steube, Jr.

PAUL ALLEN STEUBE JR. 1932 – 2015 Paul Allen Steube Jr. age 83 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2015, surrounded by family at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, NE. He was born on April 15, 1932 to Paul Allen Sr. and Thelma Roselle (Voyles) Steube in York, NE. He was raised in York and then moved to Auburn, NE where he graduated from Auburn High School with the class of 1950. He met Sally Tress Gaines and they were married on September 4, 1954 in Plattsmouth. Paul attended UNO and graduated with a Business degree in January 1958, after serving in the US Army. Paul and Sally made their home and raised their seven children in Plattsmouth. Prior to joining Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company, Paul worked for Bell & Howell selling microfilm imaging systems. He then rose to the position of Vice President of Facilities Management at Mutual, coordinating department relocations and office moves. Paul and Sally retired from Mutual together on the same day in 1994 after 34 years of combined service. After Sally passed away in 2002, he met Sandra Sue (Graham) Dale and they were married on October 16, 2005 in Las Vegas, NV. Paul and Sandra lived in Plattsmouth, where they enjoyed travelling and spending time with their many children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Paul is survived by his wife: Sandra Steube of Plattsmouth, NE, two daughters: Anne Valentine and husband Greg of Omaha, NE, Mary Lu Steube of Omaha, NE, four sons: David Steube and wife Linda of Omaha, NE, John Steube of Plattsmouth, NE, Robert Steube and wife Rebecca of Plattsmouth, NE, Phillip Steube of Omaha, NE, daughter in law: Suzie Steube of La Vista, NE, step daughter: Janette Ralston and husband Neil of St. Charles, MO, three step sons: Donald Ray Dale and wife Kathy of Worth, IL, Milfred Douglas Dale and wife Diane of Topeka, KS, David Allen Dale and wife Patsy of St. Joseph, MO, fourteen grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Paul Sr. and Thelma Steube, sister: Connie Steube, brother: James Steube, first wife: Sally Steube, and son: Paul A. Steube III. Visitations will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Plattsmouth. Memorials to the Family (A suitable charity will be chosen at a later date).
