RICHARD ERNEST BECKWITH SR. 1951 – 2019 Richard “Richie Bob” Ernest Beckwith Sr. age 68 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, NE. Rich was born on April 3, 1951 to William Thomas Jr. and Lorraine L. (Peterson) Beckwith in Omaha, NE. Rich was raised and schooled in Omaha and he attended South High School. Rich met Sharon Kay Walker and they were later married on July 11, 1970 in Omaha. He worked as an over the road truck driver and a mechanic. Rich and Sharon made their home in Plattsmouth. He is survived by his wife: Sharon Beckwith of Plattsmouth, NE; daughter: Tina Beckwith of Plattsmouth, NE; son: Richard “Ernie” Beckwith Jr. and wife Ronni of Tampa, FL; six grandchildren: Jace Beckwith, Liam Beckwith, Taylar Balfour and husband Blake, Blake Eilers and husband Kadin, Colten Wetenkamp, and Reygen Beckwith; two great-grandchildren: Jaxon Balfour and Avery Eilers; mother: Lorraine Beckwith of Omaha, NE; brother: Vernon “Spike” Beckwith and wife Danette of Omaha, NE; two sisters: Robin Potter and husband Greg of Omaha, NE; Debra Wrzesinski and husband Dave of Grovetown, GA; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Rich is preceded in death by his father: William Beckwith and his sister: Gay Lynn Digilio. A Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 9:00 P.M., with family greeting friends and relatives from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth with Stan Zych, Minister, officiating. The Pallbearers will be Quinton Beckwith, Blake Balfour, Kadin Eilers, Zach Markham, Terry Gibson, and Tuffy Gibson. The Honorary Pallbearers will be Spike Beckwith, Larry “Nels” Nelson, Ron Ballinger, Jerry Stump, Jim “Gomer” Halagarda, Bob Kennedy, Dan Covert Sr., and Geno Haines. His Final Resting Place will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth, NE. Memorials to the Family (A suitable charity will be chosen at a later date).
