RUTH LOUISE ELEDGE-KINNEY 1929 – 2014 Ruth Louise (Redden) Eledge-Kinney age 85 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Plattsmouth, NE. Ruth was born on June 27, 1929 to John Henry and Iva Nettie (Brooks) Redden in Murray, NE. She was raised and schooled in Murray and Omaha, NE. Ruth attended Central High School. She met George Grover Eledge and they later married on April 20, 1946 in Plattsmouth, NE. Ruth and George made their home in Plattsmouth. She was a wife, homemaker, and mother. Ruth had worked at the Walter Roberts Manor (owned by the Association for the Blind) in Omaha, NE for five to six years and then moved back to Plattsmouth. She met Rene "Ray" Cornelius Kinney and they later married on June 24, 1994 in Nebraska City, NE. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Plattsmouth, NE. Ruth is survived by two daughters: Laura Peterson and husband Kenny of Plattsmouth, NE, JoAnn Moulton and husband Gary of Plattsmouth, NE, two sons: George Eledge and wife Arlene of Plattsmouth, NE, Rick Eledge and wife Karen of Plattsmouth, NE, nine grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, brother: Francis Redden and wife Mickie of Omaha, NE, sister: Barbara Redden of Omaha, NE, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Iva Redden, husbands: George G. Eledge, Ray Kinney, five brothers: LeRoy Redden, Louie Redden, John Redden, Chuck Redden, Russell Redden, three sisters: Shirley Fox, Linda Minshall, JoAnn Hill, and daughter-in-law: Vickie Eledge. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth, NE with Pastor Kurt Stecker officiating and Terry Little as vocalist. Visitations will be from 1:00 to 9:00 P.M., with family greeting relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Roby Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Brink, Philip Brink, Brian C. Eledge, Chad Eledge, Rick Eledge, Broc Eledge, and Brian J. Eledge. Honorary Pallbearers will be Melicca Carpenter and Crystal Pacheco. Final Resting Place is at Lewiston Cemetery in Murray, NE. The family suggests Memorials to Family Choice.
