SHARON KAY KLINEFELTER 1946 – 2020 Sharon Kay (Kiser) Klinefelter age 73 of Omaha, NE passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at her home. She was born August 25, 1946 to Robert Guy Jr. and Rita Frances (Belek) Kiser in Omaha, NE. She grew up and lived her life on her family's farm, known as Kiser Orchards. Sharon attended Eight Mile Grove School and she graduated from Plattsmouth High School in 1964. She helped on the farm with the orchards, farm produce, and the farmers markets for many years. After her parent’s deaths Sharon worked at the Cass County Fair entering the farms produce every year, it was a lot of work but she always enjoyed helping out. She worked at Mutual of Omaha for many years and her last employment was with the Omaha Public Schools, as a paraprofessional and the Kids Club. She so enjoyed her grandchildren and did a lot of babysitting for them and they will miss her. Sharon was a member of the Church of The Holy Spirit and in her younger years, she was active in 4-H. She also belonged to the Red Hat Society and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #365 Auxiliary. Sharon is survived by her husband: Leroy Klinefelter of Omaha, NE; son: Charlie Klinefelter and wife Becca of Plattsmouth, NE; six grandchildren: Kimberlee, Makayla, and Kiser Klinefelter, Ashley, Christopher, and Hunter Mendes; her brother: Bob Kiser and Ellyn Meisinger of Plattsmouth, NE; and her beloved dog: Sugar. She was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Rita Kiser, granddaughter: Abigail, first husband: Wayne Mink, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitations for Sharon will be from 1-5 P.M., with the family present from 3-5 P.M., Friday, January 31, 2020 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M., Friday, January 31, 2020 at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Michael Houlihan officiating, Kevin Monahan and George Sachs as acolytes, Linda Monahan as lector, Terry Little as vocalist, and Laurie Hajek-Jones as organist. The Pallbearer will be Joe Belek, John Divoky, Stan Grabowski, Dan Graf, Jerry Mauro, and Bobby Taylor. The Honorary Pallbearers will be Sharon’s grandkids: Kimberlee Klinefelter, Makayla Klinefelter, Kiser Klinefelter, Ashley Mendes, Christopher Mendes, and Hunter Mendes. Her Final Resting Place will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Plattsmouth. The family suggest Memorial to St. John the Baptist School, for Masses at Church of the Holy Spirit, or to the Plattsmouth Volunteer Firefighter's Association.
