Theresa "Teri" Marie Rockwell

THERESA MARIE ROCKWELL 1955 - 2016 Theresa "Teri" Marie (Spellerberg) Rockwell age 60 of Gretna, NE passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016, at Madonna Rehabilitation Specialty Hospital in Bellevue, NE. She was born on August 15, 1955 to Joseph George Jr. and Patricia Ann (Vogltance) Spellerberg in West Point, NE. Teri grew up in Dodge and graduated from Dodge High School with the class of 1973. After graduating from high school, she worked for her father at M.J. Recordings and Moostash Joe Tours. She met the love of her life Donald Scott Rockwell in Phoenix, AZ and they were later married on September 27, 1986 in Las Vegas, NV. Teri and Scott made their home and raised their children in Phoenix and Gretna. She had worked as a Librarian Assistant at the Gretna Public Middle School and she was also a Pampered Chef Consultant for over twenty years. Teri was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Gretna. She volunteered much her time at the church, teaching CCD and serving as a guild chairman. She is survived by her husband: Scott Rockwell of Gretna, NE; daughter: Patrice "Trish" Spahn and husband Jonathan of Colorado Springs, CO; two sons: Alexander "Alex" Rockwell of Gretna, NE; Nathaniel "Nathan" Rockwell and wife Emily of Omaha, NE; grandson: Tristan Spahn, father: Joseph Spellerberg Jr. and wife Jan of Fremont, NE; five sisters: Cynthia Steffensmeier and husband Thomas of Bellevue, NE; Beverly Lueshen and husband Kerwin of Pierce, NE; Susan Kroenke and fiancée Douglas Mustard of Gretna, NE; Patricia Stevens and husband Mark of Elkhorn, NE; Jacqueline Ady and husband William of Bennington, NE; two brothers: Michael Spellerberg of Omaha, NE; Mark Spellerberg and wife Fay of Albuquerque, NM; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Teri was preceded in death by her mother: Pat Spellerberg and her grandparents: Pete and Valasta Vogltance and Joe and Irene Spellerberg. Rosary Service will be held at 7:30 P.M., Friday, June 10, 2016 followed by visitation with the family at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Gretna. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 10, 2016 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Gretna with Father Jeff Mollner officiating; Nathan Rockwell and Alexander Rockwell as lectors; Steve Grandinetti as deacon, and Tracy Hoye along with the St. Patrick Choir providing comfort in music. Final Resting Place will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Gretna. The family suggests memorials for Masses at St. Patrick Catholic Church or JDRF Diabetes Foundation.
