Mrs. Vicky Eileen Nickeson

Vicky Eileen Nickeson 1955 - 2013 Vicky Eileen (Spittler) Nickeson, age 57 of Plattsmouth, Nebraska passed away on July 25, 2013 at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, Nebraska. Vicky was born on October 29, 1955 in Norfolk, Nebraska to Jerome Arthur and Eileen Lorraine (Kelly) Spittler, but she was raised and schooled in O'Neill, Nebraska. Vicky attended and graduated from St. Mary's High School in O'Neill, Nebraska with the class of 1974. After high school, she studied court reporting at the A.I.B. College of Business in Des Moines, Iowa for 2 years. Vicky and Randy knew each other in high school, but did not start dating until they were both in college and they later married on October 8, 1983 in O'Neill, Nebraska. After college she moved to Plattsmouth and worked for Judge Raymond "Joe" Case. One for the most important and profound decisions she and Randy made together, was for her to be a stay at home mom and raise their children. She later returned to work for Judge Randall Rehmeier. She was a member of the Nebraska Court Reporters Association. Vicky is survived by her Husband: Randy Nickeson, Daughter: Jamie Nickeson both of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, Two Sons: Brett Nickeson of Omaha, Nebraska, Eric Nickeson of Kansas City, Missouri, Parents: Jerry & Eileen Spittler of O'Neill, Nebraska, Three Brothers: Doug Spittler & wife Joyce of Kalama, Washington, Bruce Spittler & wife Peggy of Anchorage, Alaska, Kerry Spittler of Glendale, California, Sister: Barb Reyes of Beaverton, Oregon, Brother-in-law: Dennis Tomlinson, Mother-in-law: Barbara Nickeson both of O'Neill, Nebraska, and numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends. She is preceded in death by her Father-in-law: Orville Nickeson and Sister: Renee Tomlinson. Rosary Service: 10:30 AM followed by Funeral Mass: 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Church of The Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth, Nebraska with Father Loras K. Grell officiating, Brett Nickeson as eulogist, Joy Scanlan as lector, Leo Sand as acolyte, Terry Little as vocalist, and Laurie Hajek-Jones as organist. Further Services will be held in O'Neill, Nebraska on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Visitations are from 2:00 – 3:00 PM at Biglin's Mortuary (111 N. 3rd St., O'Neill, NE 68763, Phone (402) 336-2360) followed by Burial at 3:00 PM at O'Neill Prospect Cemetery with Father James Netusil officiating. Pallbearers are Jim Allen, Trevor Haake, Dan Nickeson, Jerry Nickeson, Judge Randall Rehmeier, and Reid Steinkraus. Honorary Pallbearers are Jason Beck, Pat Cole, Tom Earley, M.J. Kersenbrock, Dennis Tomlinson, and Todd Thompson. In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials to AAA Center for Pregnancy Counseling, A Woman's Touch, and or for Masses.
