BEVERLY ANN BLOTZER 1938 – 2013 Beverly Ann (Harris) Blotzer Age 74 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in Plattsmouth, NE. She was born on September 8, 1938 to William Earl and Gladys Fae (Arnold) Harris in Plattsmouth, NE. Bev was raised and schooled in Plattsmouth, NE. She graduated from Plattsmouth High School with the class of 1956. While in high school, Bev met the love of her life John E. Blotzer Jr. and they later married on October 25, 1958 in Plattsmouth, NE. After high school, Bev was employed as a secretary, first at Guarantee Mutual Insurance Company in Omaha, and later at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue. She was a bookkeeper at Plattsmouth Country Club, a receptionist at Cass County Bank in Plattsmouth, and then she assisted her sister Mary Jane Beins in her real estate business. Bev devoted most of her life to taking care of her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Church of The Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Bev is survived by her Husband: John E. Blotzer Jr. of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, Daughter: Lisa Groth and husband Roger of Omaha, Nebraska, Two Sons: David Blotzer of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, John W. Blotzer and wife Lori of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, Five Grandchildren: Sarah Hammers and husband Patrick of Lincoln, Nebraska, David Groth of St. Joseph, Missouri, John W. Blotzer Jr. of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, Donovan Blotzer of Des Moines, Iowa, Logan Blotzer of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, Two Sisters: Gertrude Brink of Bellevue, Nebraska, Mary Jane Beins of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, and numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends. She was preceded in death by her Parents: Earl & Gladys Harris, and Two Brothers-in-law: Leo Brink and Fred Beins. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Church of The Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth, NE with Father Loras K. Grell officiating, Ed Brink as lector, Ken Aylor and Jim Urlich as acolytes, and Terry Little as vocalist. Visitations will be from 1-9 P.M., Tuesday, September 3, 2013 with Family receiving Relatives and Friends 5-8 PM at Roby Funeral Home. Flowers Bearers are Jackie Gansemer and Beverly Hirz. Interment is at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. The Family suggests Memorials to Plattsmouth Senior Center or Plattsmouth Fire and Rescue.
