CARL EUGENE ULRICH 1942 – 2021 Carl Eugene Ulrich age 78 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the Bellevue Medical Center in Bellevue, NE. Carl was born on November 1, 1942 to Carl Edward and Rose Mary (Ferrie) Ulrich in Omaha, NE. Carl was the youngest son of the late Carl and Rose Ulrich. He graduated from high school and then he completed four years of study at a seminary near Elkhorn, NE. He joined the U.S. Army and Carl was stationed in Germany. Carl proudly served his country for four years during the Vietnam War. In 1973, he graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Carl was interested in poetry and he wrote a book of poetry. He is survived by his brother: Jerome “Jerry” Ulrich and his wife Germaine of Lancaster, CA; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Carl is preceded in death by his parents: Carl and Rose Ulrich and his brother: Edward D. Ulrich. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Nebraska Army National Guard, Military Funeral Honor Guard. His Final Resting Place will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Plattsmouth.
