DANE WILIMON CARLSON 1994 – 2022 Dane Wilimon Carlson age 28 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022 in a motor vehicle accident in Mills County, IA. Dane was born on April 19, 1994 to Kevin Michael Carlson and Nadine Marie (Wilimon) Carlson at Offutt Air Force Base, NE. He was raised and schooled in Plattsmouth. Dane graduated from Saint John the Baptist Catholic School in Plattsmouth and Lourdes Central Catholic High School in Nebraska City, NE with the Class of 2012. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha for four years. Dane was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth and the NRA. Dane held a variety of jobs, but his passion was working on the Platte River with Dan and Lori Huebner at Platte River Rentals in Louisville, NE. He is survived by his parents: Kevin and Nadine Carlson of Plattsmouth, NE; his sister: Ariel Tompsett and her husband Tim and their children: Liv and Emmitt all of Bellevue, NE; paternal grandparents: Donald and Sandra Carlson Sr. of Dandridge, TN; maternal grandfather: Leonard M. Wilimon of Plattsmouth, NE; his paternal uncle: Donald Carlson Jr. of White Pine, TN; paternal aunt: Lynn Rogers and her husband Harold of Louisville, TN; maternal aunt: Carla Wehling of Plattsmouth, NE; numerous cousins; and many friends. Dane was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother: Barbara Lois Wilimon, his maternal uncle: Anthony Wilimon, and his cousin: Brad Carlson. Visitations will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M., on Friday, July 8, 2022 at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Saturday, July 8, 2022 at the Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Sean Timmerman, Father Valerian Bartek, and Father Joseph Steele are co-officiating, Leo Sand as acolyte, Earl Culek as lector, Terry Little as vocalist, and Laurie Hajek-Jones as organist. The Pallbearers will be Bruce Wehling, Scott Wehling, Matthew Wehling, Tim Tompsett, Daniel Huebner, and Chad Bertagni. His Final Resting Place will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Plattsmouth. The family suggests Memorials to the Church of the Holy Spirit or to the Family (for a foundation being established in Dane’s memory).
