DAVID ALAN WILLINGHAM 1967 – 2014 David Alan Willingham age 47 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014 at his residence. David was born on May 9, 1967 to Lawrence Charles Willingham and Marcia Anne Moore in East Point, GA. At age nine he moved with his family to Sidney, IA. He graduated from Sidney High School with the class of 1985. Then he attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO and then Iowa State University in Ames, IA. He was in the Missouri National Guard. He moved to Omaha, NE in 1989 and worked as a truck driver in Omaha. He returned to college, attending the University of Nebraska at Omaha graduating with a Bachelors and Master's Degree in History. He volunteered his time and talents at the Lofte Community Theatre in Manley, NE. He is survived by his wife: Melinda Mead of Plattsmouth, NE, daughter: Cassandra Vance and husband Jacob of Salt Lake City, UT, three sons: Joshua Smith of Plattsmouth, NE, Connor Willingham of Plattsmouth, NE, Ian Edward Willingham of Plattsmouth, NE, mother: Marcia Moore of Hollister, MO, brother: Christopher Willingham of Hollister, MO, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. David was preceded in death by his father: Lawrence Willingham. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth with Rev. Sally Carlson officiating. The family suggests memorials to the Lofte Community Theatre in Manley, NE.
