IONE MAE STEWART 1925 – 2021 Ione Mae (Tarpy) Stewart age 95 of Plattsmouth, NE formerly of Omaha, NE passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at The Nebraska Masonic Home in Plattsmouth. She was born on December 15, 1925 to Dorris Dee and Elizabeth (Christensen) Tarpy in Council Bluffs, IA. Ione lived most her life in Omaha and she loved her family and her faith. Ione was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Omaha, Daughters of the Nile, and Girl Scouts of America. She is survived by her former spouse: Donald Stewart; four sons: Robert Stewart and wife Deborah, Randall Stewart and wife Kris, Kenneth Stewart and wife Nancy, and Douglas Stewart and wife Jean; two daughters-in-law: Elizabeth Stewart and Dee Stewart; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; sister: Betty Ann Jones; two nieces: Sandra Jones and Donna Jones-Popejoy and husband Mike; and many friends. Those who were blessed to share her life, parents: Dee and Elizabeth Tarpy, two sons: Thomas and John Stewart, brother-in-law: Richard Jones, nephew: Raymond Jones, and niece: Barbara Neale and husband Butch. Visitations will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M., on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Roby Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Wilhoft officiating. The Pallbearers will be Matt Stewart, Brandon Stewart, Austin Stewart, Joe Witzke, Rick Elsasser, and Matt Slobotski. Her Final Resting Place will be at Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Omaha. The family requests all donations be sent to the Nebraska Masonic Home, 1300 Avenue D, Plattsmouth, NE 68048.
