Leland B. Willett Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

LELAND B. WILLETT 1928 – 2017 Leland B. Willett age 88 of Plattsmouth, NE formerly of Lincoln, NE passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at The Nebraska Masonic Home in Plattsmouth. He was born on October 23, 1928 to Laurence and Clysta (Sowell) Willett in Mountain Home, AR. Leland was raised and schooled in Mountain Home. In 1946, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps and he served his country for twenty one years. Leland retired from U.S. Air Force as a Tech Sergeant in 1967. He met Elizabeth "Betty Lu" Lucille Naden and they were later married on April 6, 1957 in Lincoln, NE. Leland and Betty Lu made their home in Lincoln, where they raised their son Alfred. In August of 2008, he and Betty moved to the Nebraska Masonic Home. He was a member of the East Lincoln Masonic Lodge #210 of Lincoln, NE. Leland is survived by his son: Alfred E. Willett and wife Lori of Cedar Rapids, IA; grandson: Clayton Willett of Iowa City, IA, granddaughter: Amy Ramspoth and husband Johannes of Fort Sill, Lawton, OK; four nephews, many cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents: Laurence and Clysta Willett, wife Betty Lu Willett, two brothers: Lawrence and Jerry Willett, two sisters: Virginia Thompson and Mary Ann Dry and an infant granddaughter: Andrea Willett. Visitations will be from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at The Nebraska Masonic Home in Plattsmouth. The Funeral Service will held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at The Nebraska Masonic Home with Pastor Michael Lincoln officiating, Ricki Duffy as vocalist, and Chris Abbott as pianist. Interment will be at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Lincoln, NE.
