MATTHEW DAVID WILLIAMS 1977 – 2021 Matthew “Matt” David Williams, age 43 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at his residence. Matt was born on November 3, 1977 to James Edward and Connie Rae (Rempel) Williams in Green Bay, WI. Being in a military family he was raised in several states, his favorite being Hawaii. Matt enjoyed sharing stories and memories of his time there. He graduated from Green Bay Southwest High School with the class of 1996. Matt earned his business degree from Metro Community College and Bellevue University in Nebraska. He met Moriah Anne Jones and they were later married on November 4, 2007 in Omaha, NE. Matt and Moriah made their home and raised their children in Plattsmouth. Matt enjoyed his job as the store manager at Dollar General in Gretna, NE and he was loved and will be missed by his team members. In his free time he enjoyed playing video games, traveling, reading, and spending time with his family. Matt was an amazing dad to his two children Rayne and Vincent. He is survived by his wife: Moriah Williams of Plattsmouth, NE; his daughter: Rayne Williams; son: Vincent Williams; his father: James Williams and wife Lori of Green Bay, WI; maternal step grandfather: Ken Pankratz of Butterfield, MN; mother: Connie Glover of Butterfield, MN; his brother: Zach Glover of Butterfield, MN; two sisters: Kassie Glover of Omaha, NE; Carrie Smoot and husband Ryan of Hilo, HI; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Matt is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother: Nellie Kroeger, maternal grandfather: Howard Rempel, maternal grandmother: Marlene Pankratz, and his step-dad: Russel Glover. Visitations will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth. *Covid 19 guidelines will be followed at the mortuary, please wear a mask and use social distancing.* A Private Family Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth with Pastor Michael McGregor officiating. The Pallbearers will be Tony Cicirello, Jeremy Jones, Eric Phalen, Steve Phalen, Clinton Rockwell, and Tanner Ryan. His Final Resting Place will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth.
