STANLEY LEROY GIBSON 1942 – 2021 Stanley “Stan” LeRoy Gibson age 78 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at his residence. Stan was born on November 23, 1942 to Hazel Lucille Gibson in Nebraska City, NE. He was raised and schooled in Nebraska City before moving to Omaha, where he started working in the construction trades. Stan met the love of his life Decie Collene Harris and they were later married on February 7, 1967. Stan and Decie made their home and raised their children in Plattsmouth. Stan was a member of the Laborers’ Union #1140 of Omaha, NE. He is survived by his son: Tuffy Gibson of Plattsmouth, NE; two daughters: Geri Draper and husband Rod of Plattsmouth, NE; Jodie Gibson of Plattsmouth, NE; five grandchildren: Ryan Draper and wife Mollie, Makenna Draper, Chance Draper, Josh Gibson, and Jaylinn Rice; four great grandchildren: Grayson Draper, Amelia Draper, Freya Draper, and Finnian Draper; his brother: Terry Gibson and wife Debbie of Plattsmouth, NE; four sisters: Sharon Beckwith of Plattsmouth, NE; Edna Logue of Omaha, NE; Helen Jones and husband Kelly of Omaha, NE; Mary Ashcraft and husband Mike of Omaha, NE; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Stan was preceded in death by his mother: Hazel Walker, two brothers: Jerry Gibson and Mike Gibson, and his grandson: Koby Draper. Visitations will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, November 19, 2021 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth with Pastor Michael Lincoln officiating. His Final Resting Place will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth. Memorials to the Family (A suitable charity will be chosen at a later date).
