ZETTA MAE SHAW 1923 – 2014 Zetta Mae (Saylors) Shaw age 90 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May7, 2014 at her residence. She was born on June 11, 1923 to James and Cora Mae (Thompson) Saylors in Penscot, MO. Zetta was raised and schooled in Poplar Bluff, MO. She met the love of her life, Dennis Shaw and they were later married on August 3, 1940 in Poplar Bluff. They made their home and raised their family in Wayne, MI. Zetta and Dennis lived and traveled with Dennis's company to many different locations in the United States and in foreign countries until 1981, when they settled in Plattsmouth, NE. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, and worked as a waitress. She was a member of La Platte Community Church in La Platte, NE and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #365 Auxiliary of Plattsmouth, NE. Zetta is survived by her son: Dennis Shaw Jr. and wife Darlene of Garden City, MI, two daughters: Anne Medeiros of Bellevue, NE, Patricia Shrader and husband Alan of Moraga, CA five grandchildren: Patricia Jeffrey of Bellevue, NE, Steven Shaw and Wife Heidi of Akron, MI, Christopher Medeiros and wife Cristina of Marlborough, MA, Karen Shaw of Westland, MI, Jessica Shrader of Moraga, CA, eight great grandchildren, one sister: Lillian Wright of Springfield, MO, numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: James and Cora Saylors, husband: Dennis Shaw (June 16, 1988), son: Michael Shaw (December 24, 1984), two brothers: James Saylors, Alec Saylors, sister: Louette Mae Simmons, and her beloved pet: Senor Pepe. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, May 12, 2014 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth, NE with Pastor Stuart Yoder officiating. Visitations will be held from 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth. The Pallbearers will be John "Skip" Medeiros, Neil Medeiros, Chris Medeiros, Steven Shaw, Gary Schiebel, and Dan Opitz. Interment will be at La Platte Cemetery in La Platte, NE. The family suggests memorials to the La Platte Community Church in La Platte, NE.
