ALFRED JOSEPH LEBRETON JR. 1938 – 2021 Alfred “Fred” Joseph LeBreton Jr. age 83 of Plattsmouth, NE peacefully passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at the Lancaster Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln, NE. Fred was born on March 13, 1938 to Alfred Joseph Sr. and Stella (Houle) LeBreton in Spencer, MA. He was grew up in Worcester, MA which is 44 miles from the east coast. He had five siblings Shirley, Nancy, Richard, Barbara, and Gary. When Fred was eighteen years old, he enlisted the U.S. Air Force and he proudly served his country for twenty years. Fred mostly worked at the Strategic Air Command Headquarters on Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, NE for the majority of his career. Fred enjoyed seeing the world, while he was stationed in Oklahoma, Massachusetts, Iceland, Greenland, Guam, England, Germany, and Greece. When he retired from the Air Force, Fred went to college and earned his degree in refrigeration and heating. Then he worked as a refrigerator and air conditioning repairman for twenty years. He met the love of his life Muriel Leila Baggs and they were later married on February 2, 1969 at St. James Church in Bellevue, NE. Fred and Muriel had four children Patricia, Virgil, Colleen, Robin, five grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Fred and Muriel celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2019. After Fred’s retired for the second time, Muriel and Fred moved to Plattsmouth. Fred favorite hobbies were golfing, fishing, camping, and he travelled to most of the states. He is survived by his wife Muriel LeBreton of Plattsmouth, NE; three children: Patricia LeBreton of La Vista, NE; Virgil Cockerham of Plattsmouth, NE; Robin Lee of Missouri Valley, IA; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; his sister: Barbara Barabeau of Worcester, MA; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Alfred Sr. and Stella LeBreton, his daughter: Colleen Koziel, his sisters: Shirley St. Germain and Nancy LeBreton, and two brothers: Richard LeBreton and Gary LeBreton. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth. Military Rites will be conducted by the Offutt Air Force Base Honor Guard, Military Funeral Honors Team of Bellevue, NE. His Final Resting Place will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth.
