GLENDA LEE FISHER 1936 - 2014 Glenda Lee Fisher age 78 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Alegent Midlands Community Hospital in Papillion, NE. Glenda was born on June 11, 1936, the second child of seven children, to Paul Glen and Thelma Fern (Morse) Fisher in McFadden, WY. She was raised around Wyoming in oil field towns: McFadden, Rock Creek, Kaycee, Medicine Bow, Casper, Rawlins, Cody, and Powell. As Glenda's father was from the Pacific Junction, IA area, he moved his family to Plattsmouth, NE in the early 1950's, where they made their home. Glenda made her home in Plattsmouth and had lived in Billings, MT. She returned to Nebraska, living in Nehawka, NE for eighteen years, Weeping Water, NE for nine years, and had just recently returned to Plattsmouth. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #365 Auxiliary, Lepert Wolever V.F.W. Post #2543 Auxiliary both of Plattsmouth, the Garden Club in Nehawka, and St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Manley, NE. Glenda is survived by her three daughters: Catherine Smith and husband Jerry of Union, NE, Diana McFarland of White City, OR, Sandra Sampson and husband Bill of Plattsmouth, NE, four sons: James Gochenour and wife Virginia of Prairie City, SD, David Lanum and wife Tammy of Plattsmouth, NE, Paul Foyt of Nebraska City, NE, Patrick Foyt of Nebraska City, NE, fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, sister: Marjorie Hedrick and husband Orville of Omaha, NE, three brothers: Richard "Dick" Fisher of Billings, MT, Paul Fisher of Forsythe, MT, Donald Fisher of Billings, MT, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Thelma Fisher, two brothers: John Fisher and Marvin Fisher, and sister-in-law: Shoni Fisher. Rosary Service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, January 2, 2015 at Church of The Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth. Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 2, 2015 at Church of The Holy Spirit with Father Loras K. Grell officiating, Karen Schreiber as lector, Ron Reineke and Mark Smith as acolytes, and Terry Little as vocalist. Honorary Pallbearers will be Zach Foyt, Joe Gochenour, Mike Gochenour, Ronald Haskett, Jake Lanum (Deployed overseas U.S. Navy), Scott McFarland, Alex Moyer, and Nick Smith. Interment will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Plattsmouth. The family suggests memorials for Masses at the Church of the Holy Spirit or the Nebraska Medical Center (University of Nebraska Medical Center).
