JOSEPH EDWARD CRUVER 1944 – 2013 Joseph Edward Cruver Age 69 of Bellevue, NE passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013 at his residence. He was born on October 6, 1944 to Howard E. Cruver and Margaret Marie Max in McCook, NE. Joe was raised and schooled in Omaha, NE. He attended Tech High School. He started working at J. L. Brandies and continued working there until he and his wife, Peggy moved to Wyoming. Joe and Peggy "Margaret D. Bender" were married on May 20, 1972 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Omaha, NE. Joe and Peggy made their home in Omaha, but they lived in Wyoming for five years from 1978-1983. He moved back to Omaha to raise his family with Peggy. Joe worked as a skilled laborer in Omaha until he retired in 2006. He and Peggy moved to Bellevue, NE in 2012 and have made their home there. Joe was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Omaha, NE. He is survived by his wife: Peggy Cruver of Bellevue, NE, two sons: Ben Cruver of Omaha, NE, Shawn Cruver & wife Heather of Green Bay, WI, daughter: Keri Gradoville & husband Joe of Plattsmouth, NE, five grandchildren: Dakota Jones of Plattsmouth, NE, Ryan Gradoville of Plattsmouth, NE, Joshua Gradoville of Plattsmouth, NE, Jacob Cruver of Green Bay, WI, Kailey Gradoville of Plattsmouth, NE four sisters: Vivian Brauner & husband William of Omaha, NE, Anita Hansen of Cambridge, NE, Patricia Gillenwater & husband Earl of Council Bluffs, IA, Melony Friend & husband George of Louisville, NE, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Joe is preceded in death by his parents: Howard Cruver & Margaret Hefti-Johnson. A Memorial Mass will be held at 9:30 A.M., Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Omaha, NE with Father Frank Baumert and Father Mike McAndrew officiating, Mary E. Potmesil as lector, Don Kirschbaum as acolyte, Tom LaHood as vocalist, and Bernadette Smith as organist. Visitations will be from 1-9 P.M. with family greeting family and friends from 6-8 P.M., Friday, January 10, 2014 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth, NE. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M., Friday, January 10, 2014 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth, NE. The Honorary Pallbearers are Joe Gradoville, Joe Zach, Ben Cruver, John Watson III, Shawn Cruver, and Dakota Jones. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
