MARK LEO HUERTER 1955 – 2025 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mark Huerter, who left us surrounded by love and cherished memories. Mark lived a life defined by faith, loyalty, adventure, and a deep devotion to Beverly, his wife of 33 years, and his sons Jack and Ben. Mark valued every moment with his family including his parents Bill and Lyn Huerter, who preceded him in death. He took great delight in his nieces, nephews, and their children; they brought him a renewed purpose and avenue to share his love and experience. He welcomed friends, neighbors, and their children into his would which brought him countless laughs and memories. His passion for sports was matched only by his pride in his alma mater, Creighton University, which he followed with the same enthusiasm he reserved for Nebraska football and volleyball. A devoted supporter of the teams he loved, he celebrated victories and analyzed tough losses with equal joy and dedication. Mark loved being active with family, whether he was relaxing at the cabin in Colorado or fishing in Bemidji, Minnesota. Golf was a passion he continued pursuing even after retiring from the commercial glass industry, turning it into a part-time endeavor. His joy extended into winter, where snowmobiling and family ski trips became treasured traditions. These adventures were marked by laughter, excitement, and the simple pleasure of spending time with those he loved most. One of Mark’s greatest joys was coaching his sons’ sports teams when they were young. He valued the time spent teaching, encouraging, and celebrating their accomplishments. Mark also loved playing cards; his quick wit and sense of humor brought laughter and friendly competition to every game. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He built lasting friendships, honored all of his family, and created a lifetime of memories marked by attentiveness, humor, wisdom and dependability. May his memory be a blessing and may the stories he leaves behind continue to bring warmth and comfort.
