Marsha Ann Spaustat

MARSHA ANN SPAUSTAT 1940 – 2026 Marsha Ann (Roberts) Spaustat, age 85, of Plattsmouth, NE peacefully passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026. Marsha was born on August 17, 1940, to Glenn Ida Roberts and Clarice Opal (Johnson) Roberts in Wayne, NE. She was raised and educated in Omaha, and she graduated from Central High School, class of 1959. After graduation, she met her husband, William T. Spaustat, in Omaha. The two were married on November 18, 1961, and shared more than 50 years together before his passing. Marsha devoted her life to her family as a hardworking homemaker, loving mother and proud grandmother. Following the loss of her daughter, Debra, Marsha’s grandchildren became the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Marsha found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. She loved flowers and gardening, treasured the many decades spent with her sewing club and book club, and was known by her family for her beloved Red Cake, which Marsha fondly referred to as a “labor of love” and made from scratch for each of her grandchildren’s birthdays – a tradition proudly carried on by her granddaughter, Rachael. She was a faithful member of the Church of the Holy Spirit, P.C.C.W., and the Catholic Daughters. Marsha is lovingly survived by her grandchildren: Brian Forman of Plattsmouth, NE, Rachael Forman of Mesa, AZ, and Brandon Forman and his husband Andrew of Mesa, AZ; step-great-granddaughter: Natalia Doyle of Mesa, AZ; son-in-law: Kevin Forman and his wife Sally of Mesa, AZ; sister; Sylvia Legaard of Twin Falls, ID; brother-in-law: Jim Spaustat of Torrance, CA; and numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Glenn and Clarice Roberts, her husband: William Spaustat, daughter: Debra Forman, brother: Myron Roberts, two brothers-in-law: David Spaustat and Steven Legaard, and her step-granddaughter: Kelly Doyle. A Rosary will be held at 10:00 AM, on Friday, August 14, 2026, at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11:00 AM, at the Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Sean Timmerman officiating and Terry Little as vocalist. Marsha’s final resting place will be Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Plattsmouth. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is peacefully reunited with the loved ones who passed before her. Memorial donations can be made for Masses at the Church of the Holy Spirit or the Plattsmouth Rescue Squad.
