MATTHEW GERARD SCHULTE 1960 – 2017 Matthew Gerard Schulte age 56 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at his residence. He was born on June 20, 1960 to Bernard Francis and Jacqueline Portia (Weidner) Schulte in Omaha, NE. Matthew was raised and schooled in Omaha and graduated from South High School with the class of 1979. He met Lorraine Ann Leuck, his high school sweetheart, and they later married on March 14, 1981 in Omaha. Matthew and Lorraine made their home and raised their two sons in Omaha. Matthew was a loving and devoted husband and father. He worked at Kellogg's in Omaha for nineteen years rising to the position of quality control technician. In 2006, Matthew and Lorraine moved to Plattsmouth. Matthew is survived by his wife of thirty five years: Lorraine Schulte of Plattsmouth, NE; two sons: Nicholas Schulte and wife Andrea; Joshua Schulte all of Omaha, NE; three grandchildren: Jayden, Ethan, and Brandon; eight sisters: Maryann White and husband Cliff of Omaha, NE; Christine Johnson of Omaha, NE; Kathy Meisner and husband Rick of Brighton, CO; Laura Schulte of Omaha, NE; Linnea Schulte of Omaha, NE; Margie Schulte of Omaha, NE; Michelle Prokop and husband John of Omaha, NE; Cheryl Schulte of Omaha, NE; five brothers: Mark Schulte and wife Teri of Littleton, CO; Bernie Schulte of Omaha, NE; Bob Schulte and wife Jeanne of Omaha, NE; Jim Schulte of Omaha, NE; Joe Schulte and wife Tammi of Commerce City, CO; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, five sisters-in-law: Patrice Galas of Omaha, NE; Joan Leuck of Lancaster, PA; Mary Kay Smith and husband Dave of Omaha, NE; Tracy Leuck of Bellevue, NE; Donna Leuck of Coco Beach, FL; two brothers-in-law: Paul Leuck and wife Brenda of Papillion, NE; Rob Leuck and wife Carla of Omaha, NE; mother-in-law: Frances Leuck of Daytona Beach, FL; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Bernard and Jacqueline Schulte, his sister-in-law: Janet Leuck, four brothers-in-law: Louis Johnson, Michael Leuck and wife Diana, Raymond Galas, Norman Janik, and his father-in-law: Bernard James Leuck. A Memorial Service will held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth with Father David Azambawu officiating, Fred Ulrich as acolyte, Terry Little as vocalist, and Bob Schulte, Bernie Schulte, and Tracy Leuck as eulogists.
