MICHAEL EDWARD ANDERSON 1941 – 2025 Michael Edward Anderson, age 83, of Plattsmouth, NE peacefully passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at the Bellevue Medical Center in Bellevue, NE. He was born on July 7, 1941 to Frank Anderson and Dorothy Coe in Des Moines, IA. Michael was raised and schooled in Omaha, NE and graduated from Benson High School with the class of 1959. After graduating from high school, he attended trade school in Omaha and then Michael began working a sheet metal worker. Michael had worked for the Union Pacific Railroad, Olsen Brothers Sheet Metal, and AirTech Services. He lived in Omaha until 1995 when he moved to Plattsmouth. Michael met the love of his life, Mary Katherine Luckey and they were later married on April 25, 1997 in Plattsmouth. Michael and Mary made their home in Plattsmouth. In 2006 Michael retired from his sheet metal career, but continued working part-time at Louisville State Park. He loved going to the Iowa State Fair and camping. Michael was a lifelong member of Sheet Metal Workers Local #3 in Omaha. He is survived by his wife: Mary Anderson of Plattsmouth, NE; his daughter: Stacy Anderson and her significant other Aaron Fulkner of Omaha, NE; his four sons: Michael “Mike” Anderson and his wife Deb of Omaha, NE, Rich Anderson and Jerry Dunning of Council Bluffs, IA, Kris Anderson and his wife Georgie of Diamond Head, MS, Joel Anderson and his wife Mischel of Omaha, NE, ten grandchildren: Mallory Delaney, Jaime Anderson and her significant other Adam Carney, Nick Anderson, Zach Anderson and his wife Kristen, Jaida Williams, Jolie Williams, Tayven Fulkner, Taylor Anderson and her significant other Ryan Roberts, Max Anderson and his wife Anna, and Christian Anderson and his wife Caitlin; eight great grandchildren; his step-mother: Ruby Anderson of Des Moines, IA; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Frank Anderson and Dorothy Mueller, his step-father: Al Mueller, and his brother: Frank Anderson and his wife Jeanine. The Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Louisville State Park. The family asks to please dress casual for the celebration. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
