Patricia Lorraine Rice

Patricia “Pat” Lorraine (Harrington) Rice, age 79 of Plattsmouth, NE peacefully passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha, NE. Pat was born on November 14, 1946 to Lynn Harrington and Gladys (Harris) Harrington in Greene, NY. She was raised and educated Oxford, NY and she graduated from Oxford Academy and Central High School with the class of 1964. After graduating from high school, Pat attended and graduated from Business School. Then she worked as a secretary at the Pentagon. Pat met Robert “Bob” Lee Rice and they were later married on April 6, 1968 in Falls Church, VA. Pat and Bob lived in many different locations while Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Pat worked as a secretary on the air force bases Bob was stationed at. In 1984, the Rice’s settled in Plattsmouth. She was a member of Church of the Holy Spirit, P.C.C.W., and the Nebraska Foster and Adoptive Parents Association. Pat is survived by her four sons: Rob Rice and wife Shonna of Plattsmouth, NE; Randy Rice of Callan, CO; Daniel Rice of Muscatine, IA; Jacob Pierce of Plattsmouth, NE; six daughters: Wendi Seyler and husband Vincent of Omaha, NE; Erin Newburn of Plattsmouth, NE; Amanda Kubiaczyk and husband Dustin of Fairmont, NE; Kelsey Rice of Muscatine, IA; Sara Al-Marhoon and her husband Sammy of Omaha, NE; Sashe Devore and fiancé Randall Anthony of Beatrice, NE; twenty-nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two brothers: Jack Shaw of Oxford, NY and Gary Harrington and his wife Rosie of Huron, SD; and numerous foster children, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Lynn and Gladys Harrington, husband Robert “Bob” Rice and her son: Gary Rice. A Rosary will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Sean Timmerman officiating. There will be a luncheon following the mass at the V.F.W. Post #2543 in Plattsmouth. Her Final Resting Place will be at Omaha National Cemetery in Omaha, NE.
