SHARON ANN (SCHOLTEN) POOLE July 30, 1949 – December 7, 2020 CHARLES VERNON POOLE March 1, 1949 – August 11, 2026 Sharon Ann (Kruse-Scholten) Poole, age 71 of Plattsmouth, peacefully passed way on Monday, December 7, 2020 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. Charles “Charlie” Vernon Poole, age 77 of Plattsmouth, NE peacefully passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, NE. Sharon was born on July 30, 1949 to Charles J. Krause and Carmella Cirino in Syracuse, NY. After graduating high school, Sharon married and had two daughters. Later in life, she met Charlie; They married on September 29, 2004 in Nebraska City, NE. Charles was born on March 1, 1949 to Vernon Poole and Dolores Mae Simpson in St. Louis, MO. He was then raised and schooled in Chicago. Charlie proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was in the 6986th squadron based out of Wakkani, Japan during the Cold War. Charles and Sharon are survived by their daughter: Lara (Scholten) Marsh and her husband Craig Marsh of Omaha, NE. Sharon is survived by siblings: Charles, Pat, Beverly, Bonnie, Raymond; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Sharon is preceded in death by daughter, Amy Lee Scholten (1973-1991), parents Charles J. Krause and Carmella (Cirino) Krause, and siblings: Sandra, Richard, and Barb. Charles is survived by two brothers: Ray Poole and Roger Poole; two sisters: Sandra J. Poole and Shari L. Cerney of Chicago, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Charles is preceded in death by parents, Vernon Poole and Dolores Mae (Simpson) Poole. A Celebration of Life will be held for both Charlie and Sharon at Roby Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M., on Saturday, September 5, 2026, followed by Graveside Service for their final resting place at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Plattsmouth. The family suggests Memorial Donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the Nebraska Humane Society.
