Viola Mae Timm

VIOLA MAE TIMM 1925 – 2018 Viola Mae Timm age 92 of Tempe, AZ formerly of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Villa Hospice Home in Mesa, AZ. She was born on September 21, 1925 to Jesse James and Clara Ellen (Alber) Miller in Milford, NE. Viola was raised and schooled in Milford until 1936, when she moved with her family to Beaver Crossing, NE. She graduated from Beaver Crossing High School with the class of 1942. After graduating from high school, Viola attended summer school at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and then in the fall she started teaching country school near Beaver Crossing. Viola continued taking courses to earn her teaching certificate and graduated from college with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. She then began teaching school in Plattsmouth where she met and later married Ralph Oneil Timm. Viola and Ralph raised their son and made their home in Plattsmouth. Viola began working as an accountant in Omaha, NE but she returned to teaching in 1966. She taught school in Rock Bluff and later in Omaha for twenty five years until she retired. In 2016 she moved to her son's home in Tempe, AZ due to her failing health. Viola was an avid flower gardener and had been a member of the Plattsmouth Garden Club. Viola is survived by her son: Ralph Timm of Tempe, AZ; two grandchildren: Melissa Besch and husband Casey of Union, NE; Gabriel Timm of Plattsmouth, NE; six great grandchildren: Blake and Mason Norton, Daylen, Isaac, and Jacob Timm, Gabarielle Ramirez; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Jesse and Clara Miller, husband: Ralph Timm, granddaughter: Jennifer Timm, and her sister: Dorothy Horan. Visitations will be held from 1:00 to 9:00 P.M., with family greeting relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth with Pastor Lloyd Stuhr officiating. The Pallbearers will be Viola's Grandchildren Blake Norton, Mason Norton, Daylen Timm, Isaac Timm, Jacob Timm, and Gabrielle Rameriz.
